Who Was Walt Disney?
It’s no secret that my family loves Disney. We love to visit Disney, go pin trading in Disney springs, and check out all the new movies that Disney releases. When my daughter had to choose someone to work on a biography project for, it shouldn’t have surprised me that she would choose Walt Disney. One of our favorite ways to learn about the life of someone is with the Who Was series of books. We picked up a copy of Who Was Walt Disney and I put together some really fun projects.
Who Was Walt Disney?
What ways did Walt make a way for himself?
Walt didn’t start school until he was 7 because his family was so busy that they didn’t have time to take him. When he did start school, he teacher labeled him the second worst student in the class. That didn’t stop him though. Walt found his strengths and used them to make a way for himself. In fact, he traded his artwork for haircuts.

Walt Disney was expected to make war training videos for World War II. He could have been upset but he took a hard situation and found a way to use creativity to enjoy himself and help others. Think of a hard situation you are in and then make a comic to make light of it.

Salted Honey Banana Split Trifle
One of the things that Walt Disney was famous for was making banana splits for his grandkids. I didn’t want to make a banana split though. I wanted to kick it up a notch.
