Snow Slime Recipe
My friend over at Surviving a Teacher’s Salary shared the base recipe with me and I tweaked it as needed.
Slime making supplies
- 1 – 4 oz container of glue (we prefer Elmer’s)
- 1/2 cup shaving cream
- 3 pumps hand lotion
- 1 tbs cornstarch
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 tsp borax
- Container for slime
- 1 package glitter snow (I found ours at the dollar store.)

Start by adding one four-ounce container of glue.

Add 1/2 cup of shaving cream and mix well.

Add 3 pumps of hand lotion.
Add 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix together 1 TSP borax and 1 cup warm water. Add 1 tsp of this mixture to your glue mixture at a time until your slime is the consistency you want.
Add 1/4 cup of snow mixture to your slime and mix in well.
Place slime in a sealable container to keep it usable.
The containers above were purchased at the dollar store and came in a pack of ten. One batch of slime can make 10-20 of these containers. These would make a fantastic party favor!
How long does the slime last?
Because this slime contains borax, it should be able to last for a long time as long as it is stored in a sealed container. If the slime gets dirty or dries out throw it out and make a new batch. The smell may fade after time. You can add a few drops of peppermint extract to the slime and work it through completely to freshen the peppermint smell.
