We have been working our way through Math this year and we have hit a wall with learning. Both kids are really struggling with skip counting. I decided to head to Pinterest to see what I can find. I have also put together a fun printable to help them learn. I’m going to share a few of the skip counting resources I found in case you have a child that is struggling as well.
Skip Counting Resources
Right now we are trying out a new learning method with them. I have even created a free printable for you in case you want to try it as well.

How did we use them?
We have been doing a few different things with these to help with memorization. This week we have been doing a number train. I give them the pile based on the number they are skip counting. The only twist is that I mix them all up.
Once they have the cards out of order, their goal is to put them back in order to make a number train. After they finish the train the goal is to read them aloud to me and see if they succeed. I am hoping that by repeatedly building this train they will start to retain the order they come in.
Starting next week I will intentionally leave a number out and then ask them to tell me what number fits in that slot.
Skip Counting Resources
I have not tried all of these but they are on the list of things to try until we find the right one to help them retain these numbers. If you have a tip or trick that isn’t here, leave a comment. I am open to suggestions to get these two skip counting easily.
