This week I took my son out to Marvel Universe Live in Orlando. We picked up his good friend and headed out for what we hoped would be a night of adventure. I heard that they were adding in a few new Marvel favorites and I hoped that it would make the kids smile. Are you asking yourself, “Should my kid go to Marvel Universe Live?” Let me answer that for you.
Should My Kid Go to Marvel Universe Live
The short answer is yes but let me tell you why.
They represent female characters
I was very happy to see the female characters have just as dominant of a role in the show as the male counterparts. This is a great opportunity for you to show your children that girls can be heroes too. Even better, they can be a hero in something that is modest and still help to save the day.
The language stays appropriate.
While there are characters like Rocket Raccoon who have the reputation of being a little more colorful with their speech, the show keeps things kid-friendly. This means your Marvel fan can enjoy the show without hearing things you may not approve of.
Villains are authentic without being scary.
If you have children who are more easily frightened you will appreciate this component. While the show includes many of the villains we have come to know and love, they aren’t scary. They stay to their character but don’t scare the kids.
The show is packed with variety!
This show does a fantastic job of using multiple stunts and different items to make the show fun. You might see fire dancers, fighting, or even some pretty incredible motorcycle tricks. This is sure to keep your child’s attention.
Overall it is a really fun show and I highly recommend taking your kids our for a fun night!
