Fall Busy Boxes
Are you looking for a fun way to keep the kids busy this fall? I have had more than one occasion where I hear the words, “I’m bored” when I’m too tired to even think about it. I found these plastic crayon boxes on clearance after school started and knew just what I needed. That’s when I made these Fall busy boxes. They are perfect for travel or an I’m bored day at home.
Fall Busy Boxes
Supplies you will need:
- Plastic Crayon Boxes
- Glitter glue
- Pom Poms
- Pipe Cleaners Assorted colors
- Construction Paper
- Wiggly Eyes
- Scissors
Making Your Busy Boxes
For your build a pumpkin box, you will need 2 wiggly eyes, a short piece of pipe cleaner, a large orange pom pom, and squeezable glue. We went with glitter glue. It’s just more fun.
Your child can build multiple pumpkins if you add more than one of the items in the box. They can even make their own pumpkin patch with them.
For your build a monster box, you will put in a large pom pom of any color, multiple pom poms, glue, wiggly eyes, and pipe cleaners. The goal is to let them build the monster of their dreams.
This is a really fun project. Once it dries well they can even play with their monsters if they want.
For your build a pumpkin patch busy box, you will need orange construction paper cut out as a pumpkin, black construction paper cut out for the face, and glue and green pom poms.
You can do one of two things. You can either put your green pom poms in the container for them to build the pumpkin
For your next make a monster box, you will cut out a monster template from construction paper. Add to the box pipe cleaners, pom poms, glue, and wiggly eyes. The goal is to let the child design any monster they want! Have more fun by putting in more than one template so your child can build multiple monsters.
The only limit you have with these boxes is your imagination and the items you put into them.
