I was given three tickets to this event to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100% my own.
Summer is here and with it comes a plethora of activities and themed events at theme parks. It can be hard to pick just one. Sea World Orlando is part of the summer fun and they have a special event that is included in your park ticket. The kids and I went out to check it out. Now I want to share some Electric Ocean Sea World tips and tricks to help you make the most out of your night at Sea World for Electric Ocean.
Electric Ocean Sea World Tips
Electric Ocean is a seasonal event running throughout the summer of 2019 with special programming and food you won’t want to miss out on.
Electric Ocean Food Options
We had the chance to try some of the food offerings at Electric Oceans. Not only can you find some of your year-round favorite restaurants, but you can find some delicious special features that are exclusive to Electric Ocean. These will be at different areas of the park and will not be included in your daily meal plan.
This BBQ sundae has an incredible flavor combination if you don’t mind your food touching. In this jar, you will find baked beans, pulled pork, cole slaw, cornbread, and onion rings. It really is a great walking through the parks food option.
Macaroni and Cheese Bites
Macaroni and cheese bites are served in a convenient cone and make a fantastic finger food. These are macaroni and cheese that has been breaded and fried. It comes with a nacho styled cheese sauce that makes a great partner to these but they are so packed with flavor that you don’t need the dipping sauce.
Are you looking for something fresh and packed with flavor? Enjoy a gyro packed with a flavorful meat and topped with your choice of delicious toppings.
This Doughnut Sundae will have fresh made doughnuts topped with your choice of a few topics. It is whipped cream and not ice cream so be aware of that.
Club R&R is a fantastic place to sneak away, grab a drink, and sit down for a little while. There are a variety of drinks that are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Your non-alcoholic drink options will be the Frozen Electric Lemonade (Pretty sour) or the Frozen Pina Colada. Be aware that the souvenir pilsner will not be an option for you if you are going with a non-alcoholic drink option.
If you have younger children, Club R&R is a great place to let them grab a nap while you enjoy some a.c. and a drink. Club R&R is located in the Nautilus theater and there are multiple areas to sit and relax for a while in the air conditioning.
Electric Ocean Rides
All of the rides that are open during a regular park day will be open during Electric Ocean for park guests. I highly recommend looking at the show schedule in your park map so that you don’t miss out on a show you might really enjoy watching!
Electric Ocean Shows
The shows get a small makeover for the summer months during Electric Ocean.
Touch the Sky
Touch the Sky is a dolphin show that kicks off the night at 5:30 with some high flying tricks and some of your favorite dolphins showing you just how amazing they really are.
Sea Lions Tonite
Sea Lions Tonite is a fun show where the sea lions take you through an entire day at Sea World. Laugh with them as they pick on many of the other shows that are so well known at Sea World. Many of our favorite memories from the evening included laughing about some of the lines in this show.
I recommend getting there early so that you can get the seat you want and avoid being picked on by the performing mime. Be prepared. The splash zone really is a splash zone as they are sprayers.
See some of the fun you can expect from the mime here:
Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up the Night
I highly recommend getting to this show early so that you can get seats. There is another showing at 9:30 but I recommend seeing this one at 8:30 and heading to the dance party afterward. This is a shorter show but it features many of the tricks that are sure to wow kids of all ages.
Ignite is Sea World’s Electric Ocean end of the night fireworks show. You can join in a dance party that you won’t want to miss out on. The dj brings the party and Sea World dancers get the crowds moving. They will also interrupt the dance party at random intervals for Sea World performers to do different dance routines.
After the dance party, get comfortable and enjoy the water and fireworks show. Ignite features water effects, fire effects, and fireworks. If your children won’t sit well in a stadium seating setup, you can follow the lake towards the exit and find other fantastic viewing locations. We found a nice spot on the grass and were still able to enjoy the show.
It may not hurt to prepare your children for the fact that there will be a lot of fire in this show and that it will not hurt them in any way.
