DIY Flower and Garden Mickey Ears are perfect for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! We are heading out to enjoy the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot but we couldn’t do that without some fabulous ears. I love to make my own ears for the theme park. It’s a good time for self-care and I love that they get to be unique to what we like best. This time around I decided we need to have some fun with flowers. While we loved the Harry Potter inspired ears from one of our trips I needed some DIY Flower and Garden Mickey Ears!

How to Make Floral Mickey Ears

I have included tips for making both sets of ears but please feel free to be creative and change them to be what you really like. Most of the items in this post were purchased at the dollar store. Your ears don’t have to be expensive to be cute.

You will need:

Wire cutter
Head bands (I chose the thick ones at the dollar store)
Floral wire
Ribbon
Flowers ( I picked ours up at the dollar store.)
Hot glue gun
Wood Bee (You can get these at Wal Mart and some dollar stores) (only for yellow ears)

Make the Yellow Floral Mickey Ears

Cut your floral wire so you have 2 even circles.

Take your cut parts of your wire through the holes in your headband.

Using your glue gun, glue down the wire. (You will have to press on it once it cools a small bit to get it to hold.)

When you attach your second ring make sure it is level with the opposite side.

Start at the bottom of the headband and wrap your ribbon.

Glue every inch or so.

When you get to the rings, you will want to wrap around the loop gluing every few wraps. (this is the most tedious part of the project.)

After finishing the loops make sure to double wrap around the headband. It will secure the ring to the headband better. Make sure to use the hot glue to hold it.

This is what your ears will look like when the ribbon is wrapped and glued.

Finish the bottom. Cut and glue the remaining ribbon on the bottom.

Use your wire cutters to cut your flowers at the base so they are ready for your headband.

Glue your flowers to the headband starting in the corner where the headband meets the loop.

Follow the loop with your flowers until you complete the full circle.

Attach your bumble bee by hot gluing the back to the top of the headband and the flowers on each side of the loops.

Make the Blue Flower Mickey Ears

You will start these the same way as the yellow. Once they are wrapped with ribbon then you can keep going with the next step.

For the blue ears, you will need to use the lilacs and there are two parts to these flowers.

Clip the whole flowers and the four part ones and separate them into piles. You will use both.

With the four part flowers you will rip or cut off each individual piece.

Layer the individual pieces one behind the next. You will need to glue each one.

Once you finish the loops, glue the other flowers to the headband portion.
