I was not compensated for this review. I did receive a game to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100 Percent my own and are not influenced by the game I received.

This year I am working on building our game collection so that we can have more fun with family game night. I was so excited when I was offered a chance to review Cheese Dip. This game is not only fun but it is educational at the same time. I am going to share my opinions on the game as well as a fun giveaway so that you can try and win your own.

Cheese Dip Game Review

What did I receive?
I received the Cheese Dip Game pictured above.

How was Cheese Dip?

Cheese Dip Game Review

The kids were so excited to unbox this game. I can’t lie. I was too. The colors are so bright and the pieces are very durable. The game comes with everything pictured above. I think those mice are just about the most adorable things ever.
All of the pieces are made of highly durable materials. The only thing I might do as a homeschool mom is laminate the cards. This will keep them from wearing down as you play.
The goal of the game is to spell your word before the other players. In order to spell your word you have to use your mouse’s tail to pull the letter from the bowl with each turn that you roll your color. There are some twists in the game though. There is the possibility of losing your letters as you go. Cheese Dip Game
While this game is geared towards younger learners my 9 year old had a lot of fun playing this with her brother who is 6. This could be because she is dyslexic and needed the extra work on building words or it could be because the game play is just fun. I know that I had fun laughing with both of them as we played.
This game would be a lot of fun if you are working on spelling words and want to teach your child the sequence of a word. The words range from some simpler words such as Cat to word blends such as trap. This would also be a great game if you are working on those small motor skills because it takes some focus and motor skills in order to pick up the correct letter using the mouse’s tail.
Cheese Dip Game

One of the things about this game that really made me smile was the fact that C pictured above seemed to learn the words well as he built them. He didn’t just build them to win. With repetition this could be a great way to cement some of the words included if you have a hands on learner.
I think it would also be a fun idea to use printable sight words to work on additional words that aren’t included in the game once your child has learned the words included.

This game was so much fun that the kids often pull it out and ask to play it with me or with each other. This is a definite must have for any family working on spelling skills with their children.

Where can I buy Cheese Dip?

We collect toys for the kids at our local Ronald McDonald House, so I’d love this for them.
