Over the last few months, I’ve been eating in a different way and it has left my family craving some of their old favorites. One thing my husband asked for was my brown sugar shake and bake chicken. This is not a food allergy-friendly recipe. (more of those coming soon!) However, it’s quick, easy, and a family favorite.
I asked many of my readers over on the Facebook page what kind of recipes they were looking for and I had quite a few of you ask for allergy-friendly recipes. As an allergen momma myself, I’m all for this. I decided to start with something simple to start with as I’m still learning to cook for food allergies myself. I made these allergy-friendly baked apples and I’m pretty sure they’re my new favorite! *You will see icecream in some of the pics. A vegan vanilla ice cream can be used for this.
Allergy-Friendly Baked Apples
Welcome to spooky month? Who I am kidding? Every month is spooky month around here. My son has a huge love for all things spooky, creepy, and just a bit Halloween. When he picked his cake colors for his birthday he chose orange and black on a white cake and I just knew I had to make a Halloween pinata cake for his birthday!
