We’re currently on an autoimmune protocol as a family with the goal of finding out which foods trigger immune issues in our bodies. Because of this, we are off of gluten and tomato. We have eaten quite a few lettuce burgers and I wanted to find something new to add some flavor to it while making my husband smile. I went strawberry picking this morning and found the motivation for this strawberry salsa recipe. It’s perfect for chips as a dip or on top of burgers to add a bit of flavor.
We are in the process of planning our first family trip to Universal Orlando and we decided to do a Harry Potter watch party. With our move to healthier eating, I wanted to do something with a healthier side. Normally our movie days include all the junk food the store sells. This time though, we’re working on making it healthy while still having fun. Check out some of the healthy Harry Potter snacks we made for our family movie night.
Harry Potter Snacks
My daughter and I had a long talk before she went back to school. She was not happy with the types of food she was fed or the portions. She wanted me to let her start bringing her lunch. My budget celebrated that decision! I won’t lie. $2.50 a day for lunch adds up fast. I decided to have some fun lunch box ideas for her as well as some lunch box notes.
