I did receive 4 tickets to Orlando Science Center to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100% my own and were not influenced by the tickets.

It’s been a long time since our family has visited Orlando Science Center. They have opened some new exhibits and made some big changes. We decided it was time to go back and see what Orlando Science Center has to offer. We found 8 must see things at Orlando Science Center. If you are visiting Orlando I highly recommend a trip to Orlando Science Center. This is a great way to have fun on a non-theme park day.

KidsTown!

Orlando Science Center has invested time and money into redoing their KidsTown and it shows in a big way. We were so impressed with some of the new options that they offered in this highly interactive area. I am hugely impressed with hands-on learning and this section did not disappoint.

There is a climbing section that is a ton of fun for kids. My two probably would have spent the entire day here. There are different areas where the kids can interact with some fun add-ons. Our favorite would have to be the ball return. The tubes pictured above deliver balls to the ground from inside the play place. From outside you can launch the balls back up to your children. Our two LOVED this and we spent a lot of time laughing together in this area.

There are also some great water play areas. I was really impressed with this section. There is even a water play table where you can put babies into a seat so they can enjoy the water.

There are some great areas with hands-on learning. Whether you are doing as my son in the video above, launching fabric squares, building a roller coaster, or designing your own car, this section is a must visit.

Nature Works

We were so impressed with all of the great things to check out in the Nature Works area. You won’t want to miss out on the live animals and fun to be had here.

There is a large tank filled with alligators and turtles. The alligators are at Orlando Science Center until they reach a certain size and then they will move to Gatorland. If you go to the afternoon show your kids may have an opportunity to help feed the alligators and turtles. They may also have the opportunity to pet a baby alligator.

Alligators aren’t the only animals you will find. There is also a room filled with some great reptiles and amphibians that your children can look at and learn a little bit about.

Astronaut

Orlando Science Center is taking you on a mission to space. We took some time while we were there and took a tour with Facebook Live. Check out that video to see some of what you can find in this exhibit.

One of the things I loved most about this new exhibit is the ability to get the kids working together. for this portion, they each had a job to do. They had to communicate well and work together. I loved this.

Dino Digs

8 must-see things at Orlando Science Center

Do you have a child who loves dinosaurs? You really don’t want to miss out on Dino Digs. Not only can you look at some great models of dinosaur skeletons, you can also check out some of the dinosaur eggs, talk with a tour guide, and ask questions.

There is even a great section where your young explorer can discover dinosaur bones. My son had so much fun in this area and really didn’t want to leave it.

Engineer It

Do you have a builder in the house? I know I do. C is always out to build and create something. In this area of Orlando Science Center, your child will have the freedom to build some different things. We had so much fun in this area I actually forgot to grab pictures for you. Be prepared, you could be in here all day if you have a builder.

Kinetic Zone

It’s time to get your kids thinking while having fun. In Kinetic Zone your child will have the opportunity to learn about balance, electricity, gravity and tons more. My son really enjoyed the hands-on nature of this area. He was able to build, create, and try many of the exhibits in a really fun way.

There were some fantastic exhibits focused on electricity and completing a circuit that kept his interest for quite a while.

Our Planet

Learn more about the planet we all share in this great exhibit. Your child can have the chance to build a weather report and then be the weather person sharing the report. They can also explore many other great exhibits about our world and how it works. My two were most taken by the hurricane simulator pictured above though.

Digital Adventure Theater

Are you looking for a great way to bring Science to life? The digital adventure theater has great films each day for your child to enjoy. These films are in 3D. Film options will change based on the day you visit Orlando Science Center.

A Few Things to Keep In Mind

There is a subway on the lowest floor if you are hungry while there. Pricing seems about standard with traditional Subway pricing.

Parking is $5 unless you have an annual pass.

The museum is closed to the public on all Wednesdays except the first Wednesday of the month.
