This past week we had the opportunity to go to Epcot’s Candlelight Processional featuring Warwick Davis! This was such an amazing experience and I am so glad we made the time. I wanted to take a few minutes and share 5 tips for Epcot’s Candlelight Processional to help you enjoy the experience as much as possible. It is a great experience and you won’t want to miss it as part of your Holiday Disney trip.
5 Tips for Epcot’s Candlelight Processional
Plan around who you want to see.
There are guest celebrities who narrate the processional. There are different guests depending on the time of year you choose to attend. Make sure to take a minute and look at the guest celebrity and plan accordingly.
Consider the Dinner Package
Seating can be hard to get depending on who you have narrating. Some celebrities have waits of an hour or two. Others, you will have to wait even longer. If you purchase the dinner package you can sit down for a nice meal and guarantee your seating for the show. It is a great way to go out for a nice dinner and then enjoy a beautiful show. Be prepared for long lines.
If you choose not to get the dinner package you will probably need to be in line at least an hour before your preferred show time. The lines start early and get pretty long. I know that some celebrities have larger lines than others. One of these would be Neil Patrick Harris. Make sure to plan for getting in line and waiting for a while.
Plan for your younger kids.
If you are bringing younger children to the Candlelight Processional it is important to plan for this. It is a beautiful show but it may not capture the attention of younger viewers for a longer period. The show is nearly an hour. I recommend either bringing something for them to color or planning this show around when you would need them to sleep anyway. Some children will thoroughly enjoy it but others may lose interest. If you have a child with sensory issues, the trumpets are pretty loud. This may be something you need to prepare your child for.
Bring a blanket or sweater to sit on.
This isn’t really neeeded but I found it helpful. The benches are metal and having something soft to sit on can be a great help to enjoy the show as much as possible. I highly recommend bringing something if you don’t like sitting on a harder surface for an extended time period.
